B. 1948 - Malva Severios, who signs his paintings "Malva," was born in Beirut in 1948. He pursued his talent at the University of Fine Arts, finishing his studies in 1972. Malva then went to Damascus, where he taught for two years at the University of Fine Arts. He spent his next two years in Syria as the art director of the magazine �Al Fursan�. Several years later, he returned to his hometown of Beirut in order to teach at the University. He later held numerous one-man shows in Syria and Beirut. Together with a friend, Malva was frequently featured in joint exhibitions throughout Moscow, Budapest, Sofia, and Rome. Syria�s Association of Fine Arts has published a book about Malva and his art.
